How to use the Voting Machine

Pull the large red handle to the right to close the curtains. Do not move the handle again until you have finished voting. You have three minutes. If you need help, call for assistance, do not open the curtains.

Primary Elections: Pull down the lever above or beside the name of each candidate for whom you wish to vote. You will use levers only in the row of the political party in which you are registered. You do not have to vote for all candidates.

General Elections: Pull down the lever above or beside the name of each candidate for whom you wish to vote. You may select candidates from any line or column in which their names appear. You do not have to vote for all candidates in the same party.

There is a place to "write in" high on the machine face, but once you open the write-in slot you cannot change your mind and vote for a candidate listed on the ballot for that position. There should be a pencil in the booth.

Move down levers marked YES or NO to vote on ballot proposals.

When your decisions are final, LEAVE THE LEVERS DOWN with the X's showing.

Pull large handle back to starting position. This records your vote, automatically snaps the levers back to their original positions, and opens the curtains.

Como usar la máquina de votar

Mueva la palanca roja grande hacia la derecha para cerrar las cortinas. No vuelva a tocar la palanca roja grande hasta que haya terminado de votar. Usted tiene tres minutos. Si necesite ayuda, llame para obtener asistencia. No abra las cortinas.

Aparecerá una "X" en la casilla al lado o abajo de su selección. Si se equivoca, devuelva la palanquita a su posición original y empuje la palanquita correcta.

En caso de que quisiera votar por un candidato cuyo nombre no aparezca en la papeleta, ubique el botón situado encima de la columna de ranuras numeradas en el extremo izquierdo de la máquina de votar. Oprima el botón y, manteniéndolo oprimido, abra la ranura que corresponde al cargo para el cual usted desea agregar el nombre de un candidato. Escriba en la ranura el nombre del candidato que desea. Habrá un lápiz en la cabina de votación.
Para votar por los propuestos en la papeleta, empuje hacia abajo las palanquitas marcadas "Yes" o "No".
Cuando termine de escoger a sus candidatos, deje las palanquitas hacia abajo con todos los equis presentados.

Vuelva a colocar la palanca roja grande totalmente a la izquierda, volviéndola a su lugar de partida. Las cortinas abrirán, las palanquitas volverán automáticamente a su posición original, y su voto quedará registrado.

大选:先找到你想选的候选人名字，再把名字上方或旁边的小杠杆向下一按，就行了。你可以选任何候选人，不管他属于哪一个政党。你不必投同一政党所有候选人的票。
如果你想选的人名没有列在上边，你可以把你要的人名“写”进去。在投票机的正面上方，有一个地方标明“write in”，投票间里应该有铅笔。不过一旦你把 “write in”那一格打开，你就不能改变主意了，去投那个职位的另一候选人。

在投票提议案那一栏，标有YES 或 NO。同意，就把YES 上方的小杠杆按下，不同意，就把NO 上方的小杠杆按下。
当你把杠杆按下而不再改变主意了，按下的杠杆上不必扳上来，上边显示有X。
投完票后，把那个红色的大扳手扳回原来的位置，你的选票就被记录了，所有被按下的杠杆会自动弹回原位，同时门帘就打开了。
